Overview

Our client — a leading 3D software company in Japan (name withheld for confidentiality) — is seeking an experienced Graphics Engineer to join their development team.
This position plays a critical role in the development and optimization of high-performance 3D visualization and rendering systems that support large-scale industrial design, manufacturing, and simulation workflows.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core graphics modules that power the company’s proprietary 3D platform, used across a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the company’s existing 3D rendering and visualization modules.

  • Implement bug fixes and small feature enhancements while becoming familiar with internal architecture.

  • Collaborate closely with planning, product, and QA teams to define and refine specifications.

  • Within approximately three years, independently manage requirement definitions, new R&D initiatives, and implementation of next-generation graphics functions.

Development Environment

  • Programming Language: C++

  • Platform: Visual Studio

  • Graphics APIs: OpenGL / GLSL / DirectX

  • Source Control: TFS (Team Foundation Server)

  • Communication & Management Tools: Microsoft Teams, OBPM, others

Required Skills and Experience [Must]

  • Minimum 3 years of software development experience using C++ / Visual Studio.

  • Experience in graphics programming (OpenGL, GLSL, or DirectX).

Preferred Skills and Experience [Want]

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Understanding of manufacturing or engineering-related software development.

  • Interest in developing cutting-edge 3D solutions and visualization technologies.

Salary and Benefits

  • Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 5,000,000 – 6,300,000

  • Monthly Salary: JPY 363,625 – 452,125
    (Includes fixed overtime allowance of JPY 86,600–107,659 for 40 hours per month; any excess paid separately.)

  • Salary determined based on experience and capability.

  • Bonuses: Twice per year (June and December); performance-based incentives may apply.

  • Retirement and pension plans available.

Working Hours and Schedule

  • Full flextime system: 7:00–22:00 (core hours: 11:00–15:00)

  • Standard Working Hours: 8 hours/day

  • Average overtime: Around 20 hours/month

  • Remote Work: Available (at least 2 office attendance days per week)
