Job Description 

This position involves programming work related to the development of home video game titles using the company’s in-house game engine, Unity, or Unreal Engine.
The role requires proactive collaboration beyond one’s specific position to address technical and design challenges in line with the project’s objectives and creative direction.

For those with leadership experience: You will first join as a senior engineer, and upon familiarization with internal workflows, you may be appointed as a team leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement gameplay systems such as player movement, enemy behavior, UI, and overall game flow control.

  • Implement physics-based behaviors and visual effects to enhance gameplay presentation.

  • Verify technical feasibility and propose/execute improvements to specifications and design challenges.

  • (For leaders) Develop programming schedules, manage progress, and provide technical and operational guidance to team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing consumer game titles using C++.

  • Solid understanding and practical experience in 3D game development.

  • Experience with high-end console or PC titles (e.g., PS4, Xbox One or later, Nintendo Switch, or PC).

  • Japanese language proficiency at native, fluent, or business level, ideally with JLPT N2 certification or above, and strong written, listening, and spoken communication skills.

  • Strong communication skills and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

  • Practical experience using Unreal Engine.

  • Experience developing action games.

  • Experience with networked or online multiplayer games (P2P, etc.).

  • Knowledge of 3D mathematics and physics.

  • Prior team leadership experience in consumer game development.

Development Environment

  • Platforms: PS4 / PS5 / Nintendo Switch / Xbox One / Xbox Series / Windows (Steam)

  • Game Engines: Proprietary in-house engine, Unity, Unreal Engine

  • Programming Languages: C++, C#, Python
