Job Description
We are seeking a talented Character Designer to take responsibility for creating and supervising visual assets such as graphic designs, character illustrations, and 3D models for a globally recognized character-based IP project in a major leading Japanese gaming company.
The successful candidate will work closely with artists, planners, and development teams to maintain a consistent and high-quality visual identity across all creative assets.
Required Skills
Main Responsibilities
Create and supervise character illustrations, 3D models, and graphic designs for assigned projects.
Collaborate with planners, directors, and technical teams to align visual direction with project goals.
Ensure design consistency and quality across multiple media platforms.
Provide design feedback and art direction within the production team.
Requirements (Must-Have Skills)
Proven ability in graphic design and character illustration (proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar).
Basic design knowledge, including composition, proportion, and color theory.
Experience creating 3D character models using DCC tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, etc.).
Basic familiarity with character-based franchises or major entertainment IPs.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Business-level English proficiency for cross-border communication.
Mechanical or technical design experience (e.g., vehicles, props, robots).
Deep understanding of well-established character brands and their visual design principles.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Brings both artistic sensibility and technical understanding of 3D modeling and design workflows.
